benjamin_button-poster1.jpgThe trailer for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button made the film seem very appealing. It has a great director, good actors, and a very interesting story. It should have been brilliant, but unfortunately this was not  the case. The film failed to meet its potential and was disappointing on many fronts. It goes to show trailers can’t always be trusted, and you probably shouldn’t be tempted to see a movie purely off the back of one. Get more information first, so you don’t make the same mistake I did.

poster-3000-miles.jpg3000 Miles to Graceland is a crime action movie, which features hundreds of Elvis impersonators. The heist in the movie takes places in a Las Vegas casino during International Elvis Week. Murphy (Kevin Costner) is the lead criminal in charge of the robbery and he has enlisted Michael (Kurt Russell) to help him and his team pull off the job. Michael has only just got out of prison and wants to give up crime and live on his dream boat. To do this though, he needs to do carry out this last robbery and get his share of the profits.

tropic thunder posterBen Stiller is a successful actor who regularly tries his hand at writing, directing and producing. He is also married to an actress, and the son of two actors. Needless to say therefore that Stiller has seen Hollywood from a series of (unflattering) angles. And for his new film, Tropic Thunder he makes full use of his knowledge for the benefit of our entertainment, turning it into a pastiche trapped in the body of an action flick.
