I thought this movie was great. I played every game and by substance they are better than the RE-games. Much more depth.

This movie is one of the best (I think the best) game-to-movie adaptation ever. Not so hard, because there aren’t much of them with quality. Resident Evil 1 was good enough and 2 was enjoyable. Even the Mortal Kombats were enjoyable. Nice in style with the games.

Silent Hill had great atmosphere, set design and creature execution; good acting; probably the most important: the changes made for the film were good and respectful to the games. I didn’t mind at all the changes they made. Nice explanation for the Sirene (although in the game it comes after the Otherworld).

I hope the sequel will discard this movie and uses the story of James Sunderland. That one has much depth about the psyche of the main character, but has nothing to do with the myth of Silent Hill, like the other 3 parts.
