Every once and a while I develop little TV addictions; this new series of Battlestar Galactica is my latest. As was already mentioned, the cast, the acting is terrific as well as the new twists on the characters like Boomer and Starbuck being women. The character of Balthar is a well developed complex character and as the series evolves, so too does the nature of Cylons as well. There is nothing black and white in this version as you are challenged to support the humans. We see them at their best and at their worst as we also get a chance to see a more human side of the Cylons.
Political analogies are also drawn and look out for some very hard to look at scenes that recall the Abu Grahab prison scandals.
Not least of the attraction to this mesmerizing series is the rough hand held pseudo-documentary style in which it is filmed. Oh yeah and there are also some really hot super action babes in it.
