Let’s start off with last night’s movie on Net5 in the Netherlands, Sleepy Hollow. I’d never seen it before, and I’m not a real big horror fan either, but this movie surprised me. Since Tim Burton directed it I knew it’d be pretty to look at, but man he went overboard on this one. Every single frame in this flick is worth framing and putting on the living room wall. And not just the ones with Christina Ricci
Loved it: **** (out of five).

Just watched Sleepy Hollow on DVD (borrowed it from Punkmachine – thanks mate!). Hmm…. not really my cup of tea I’m afraid. It was indeed beautifully shot, but the story was crap, the acting was hammed (even though I realize that that was the idea sometimes) and Christina Ricci looked godawful (but then Weefselkweekje and I don’t often have the same taste in women
)!
For me ** out of 5, simply thanks to the cinematography.

Guess we’ve got a birthday coming up… Februari 2nd…
P.S. Somehow I feel lucky we don’t share our taste in women…

Comment by reisneus — Wed January 7, 2004 @ 11:44We should have one of those automatic birthday notifiers on CoP. Getting authors to submit their birthdates shouldn’t be too hard. After all, you might actually get a present
